A raised edge, approx. 0.67 in tall, runs around all four sides, so drips and small spills stay on the mat. To empty it, lift one edge and pour into a bowl or the sink, then wipe it dry.
It's sized for kitchen and bathroom sink cabinets. Measure the inside floor from side to side and front to back before you order, and check the door opening too.
We haven't tested trimming it, so the floor needs to be at least as big as the mat. It catches drips and spills, but it doesn't stop or detect a leak, so keep an eye on the pipes.
